In a statement Rowe said
Having read some of the comments relating to our bid, may I just put the record straight. Firstly, our bid has not been withdrawn merely stated that there will come a time shortly when, due to a lack of any positive response from the club, we would call it a day and get on with our lives. I would also like to reprint below the statement I made earlier last month concerning our future vision of where we want to take QPR.
"The plans encompassed within our bid include, (1.) Prevention of a return to administration. (2.) Ensure QPR' s future by further major financial investment. (3.) Restructuring of the club. (4.) Immediate attention to the £10m loan. (5.) A planned new 36,000 capacity stadium within the Borough. (6.) Return to the Premiership. (7.) To start the process of the globalisation of the QPR brand name. Ambitious? May be, but living in the past? I don’t think so".
"I want to assure all QPR fans that we only have, and will only ever have, the interests of QPR in our thoughts and actions, so if the future decrees that we are not to be given that opportunity, then so be it, but it will not change anything, and I hope that the "Chosen ones" are of a similar mind."
Confidentiality Agreements prevent me from giving further details here. Nevertheless, I would like to think that the majority of QPR fans would not find our plans out of step with their own aspirations for our club. What ever comes to pass, I only hope and prey that the current board of Directors make the right decisions at a very crucial period in the history of the club we all love.
Brian Rowe.
