The 28-year-old Hungary international, who has been sidelined since tearing cartilage in his knee in Rangers' 0-0 draw at home to Norwich in October, made his return in the 2-1 win over Tottenham's reserves on Wednesday, playing 45 minutes.
Right-sided player Josh Parker also made his return in the match after two months out with a stress fracture of his left foot.
QPR boss Neil Warnock told the club's official website: "It was great to see Akos out there again. The same goes for Josh Parker too, who has been sidelined for a while.
"Obviously Akos has still got a long way to go fitness-wise, but getting 45 minutes under his belt will do him no harm whatsoever."
January signings Pascal Chimbonda and Danny Shittu, who have yet to make their debuts for QPR, also got 90 minutes and Warnock added: "It was a great work-out. I couldn't have wished for it to go any better to be honest."
