QPR chief executive David Davies is happy to report that Clarke Carlisle is making excellent progress with his rehabiliation at the Sporting Chance Clinic.
Clarke was admitted to Sporting Chance at the end of last month after being diagnosed with an alcohol related illness and is undergoing a programme of mental and physical rehabiliation that will hopefully see him return to the squad in better shape.
It is a long and intense process but having spoken regurly to Sporting Chance CEO Peter Kay, Davies is reassured to hear of the progress the player is making.
"Everything is going very well at the moment," Davies said. "Clarke is apparently much fitter now an is on target to meet his 28-day discharge date.
"This is really good news and we are delighted to hear it. We are all looking forward to his return to Loftus Road.
Davies has also organies a metting between Peter Kay and the rest of the Rangers squad to discuss issues raised by Clarke's situation and offer advice and information.
"The efforts of Sporting Chance are to be greatly admired and their knowledge, understanding and awareness of the pressure faced by professional sportsmen and women can only be beneficial to the players."
