After agreeing a new 1-year deal at Loftus Road, Paul Furlong spoke to the official QPR website about his glee for signing and battling it out in the newly named Coca-Cola Championship.
Furs said "I'm really looking forward to it. We've put in the hard work to get us promoted and I'm very excited about next season.
I've got great memories of Hillsborough and it meant so much for the club. But now it's on to next season.
We'll have a bit more time and space to play our football and I believe we've got the players to do well at that level."
With Furlong so eager to play next season his boss Ian Holloway also spoke to the official website. He spoke of his desire to bring in new faces and sign up the remaining contract rebels.
Ollie said "I want to get the ones who have done well for us sorted out first. But we have areas I would like to strengthen.
Although we have to be sensible we would like to put pressure on every department."
Speaking about departing Clarke Carlisle, Ollie only had praise.
"I would like to wish him all the best. He's been an ambassador for this club and I would like to thank him for everything he's done for us."
As for Clarke Carlisle, we haven't heard much of a thanks to the club despite helping him in his hour of need. The club guided him through his highly publicised drinking problems but all Carlisle has spoken about is his happiness for returning North to Leeds. Make your own mind up about him but no doubt Ollie has lined up a replacement who will put Carlisle's past well behind us.
