Jewell: Furious Not To Get A Point

A furious Paul Jewell was disappointed not to have taken earlier chances in the clash at Loftus Road.

"We are absolutely gutted to have not got at least a point because I thought we were the better side throughout, in the first half especially as we were all over QPR and played some great stuff and even thought they came into the game more in the second half, I still thought we were fairly comfortable."

"However, at this level if you miss clear-cut chances like we did you will be caught out and that is eventually what happened. We should have been three goals up at half time and we have the best chance in the second half, although we need to rediscover our killer instinct."

"The missed chances have cost us and then a terrible piece of naivety has cost us a goal. We had a man down injured and out of action but for some reason rather than kick the ball out into the ground so we could get treatment, we didn't and with five minutes to go and being down to ten men, we didn't and that's a daft decision. It's a hard lesson that we have had to learn and I have to hope that it does not happen again because from the poor pass they went up field and scored."

"The performance did not disappoint me but the incident and the missed chances have. At the moment I am very angry but I will get over it and we will have to bounce back quickly, starting with Leicester at home next week."
