The Fulham trainee made five appearances for Rangers' neighbours last season before an injury kept him out for three months, resulting in him losing his place in the side.
Fulham are keen for the youngster to gain some first-team experience elsewhere before continuing his career at Craven Cottage, and Ollie has already spoken to Cottagers boss Chris Coleman about a move to Loftus Road.
A permanent move is out of the question as Rangers cannot afford the defender whilst Fulham still see him as a player with potential to play in the Premiership, and with Ollie already speaking about signing players on loan (after the Ajax game), it seems Leacock is high on his agenda of wanted players.
The R's are currently lacking any depth in their defence since Clarke Carlisle and Steve Palmer left, and Danny Shittu continues his comeback from long-term injury.
Rangers will take over the player's wages for the season, thought to around £1,500 a week and the club's are hopeful of a deal in the coming week.
