Tommy Williams has rejected the chance of a second month on loan at QPR and returned to Birmingham City.
The left sided player who had spent last season on loan and the first month of this campaign at Loftus Road was widely expected to announce an extended deal but after discussions with manager Ian Holloway decided against the move.
Holloway confirmed the 23-year-old asked for a regular spot in the first team, which naturally he couldn’t offer.
"I can’t unconditionally offer him first team football and from his point of view, if he is to be out on a long term loan, he wants to be sure of a place in the side.
"I’m disappointed to lose him, but I’ve been honest with him and I totally respect his point of view.
"I would like to thank Tommy for his efforts both this season and last and I would like to wish him all the very best for the future."
