The increase comes as the club prepare to announce the date of its Annual General Meeting, at which the board will reveal a significant loss for the last financial year.
Rangers need around £82,000 per month simply to repay the interest on the £10million loan the previous board arranged prior to the club coming out of administration in 2002.
