Warnock is desperate for another shot at managing in the Premier League and sees Rangers as his best chance of returning to the top flight, but he has the small matter of this season's relegation battle to win first.
"Everyone's talking about the future but the main priority is the next two months," he said.
"There is no divine right for anyone to stay up - look at Southampton and Charlton - and we've got a difficult run-in. We know what points we need and that's the first task.
"I've come in to try to make the players believe in themselves again."
