Despite seeing his Rangers side go down to their first pre-season defeat, Ollie has taken many positives from the performance.
Speaking to the official website, Ollie said:
"That was exactly what we were looking for. When we heard they were looking for a game we were very excited. It was in the old Ajax tradition of football - they worked the extra man so well.
"Before they scored we had had our chances, and after their goal as well. And after they scored they didn't really want another one, but that's the sign of a good side - they just kept moving the ball.
"I think my boys should feel very privileged to be on the pitch with players like that. They may have been the Ajax youngsters but they played 'that brand' of football."
Ollie was happy with his side’s commitment and fitness levels as they now turn their focus to the final two pre-season fixtures. Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night and Crystal Palace the following Saturday.
Despite fielding three trialists who all staked a decent claim for permanent positions in the club, Ollie agreed he is still on the lookout for players.
"We're catching up to where we were at the end of last season. Our fitness is good - but we're still a little bit short on the numbers.
"A loan signing is certainly one of the options we are looking at. It's getting harder and harder but it's certainly the sensible way to do things."
