Olly blasts "shocking" performance

Ian Holloway was understandably fuming after his team's under par display against Southend United at Roots Hall.

Rangers may now be able to concentrate on the league, but as far as Ollie is concerned there were no positives to take from this performance.

"That was embarassing - it didn't look like my team. After the second goal we fell to bits."

Rangers had enjoyed a lion's share of the possession but were unable to carve out many opportunities. Although missing some regulars, Ollie still put out a strong side.

"That's the team that I've been picking all season and it didn't peform. I wanted to get to Cardiff - these players may never get another chance like that . But Southend wanted to win more than we did"

Rangers came into the game off the back of four league wins and Ollie was at a loss to explain the scoreline.

"The determination and desire we showed in the last two league games evaporated. Not one part of my team functioned correctly. I'm as shocked as anybody, I'm humiliated, it's my worst result as a manager."
