Rangers boss Neil Warnock has been chasing Campbell for several weeks and is believed to have offered around £1.25 million ($2 million) for the former Birmingham star.
The 29-year-old scored 13 times for Blackpool in the Premier League last season but was unable to save the Seasiders from relegation and the prospect of a quick return to the top-flight is likely to persuade Campbell to move to Loftus Road.
QPR said in a statement on their official website: "The club have had a bid for Blackpool striker DJ Campbell accepted by the Seasiders.
"The Tangerines frontman, who scored 13 goals in 31 appearances in the Premier League last season, will now discuss personal terms with the Rs over the coming days, ahead of a potential move to Loftus Road."
If Campbell does join QPR it will be the first time Warnock has paid a transfer fee since leading the west Londoners back into the Premier League.
His previous two deals for Kieron Dyer and Jay Bothroyd were both free transfers.
