With Clarke Carlisle’s ill discipline possibly costing him his place in the QPR squad, Rangers have already been on the look out for some possible replacements to fill his centre-back position.
The strongest link is perhaps that of Ivar Ingimarsson. Ingimarsson is an Icelandic international and ex Brentford defender. He has almost become surplus to requirements at his current club Wolves where he wants a move for first team football.
Rangers would be a good move for the 6ft Icelander as it would mean a return to West London, and with Carlisle possibly leaving, a first team place in the heart of the defence.
However Rangers may not bow to the 26-year-olds wage demands which may prove to be decisive in any attempts for his signature. Stoke have also been linked with moves for Ingimarsson.
