QPR finished a point ahead of second-placed Crystal Palace to clinch the title in front of a larger than average reserve team crowd at Loftus Road.
First-half goals from Murphy and Walse proved enough to see off Brighton, who fielded trialist Hamid Barr in their side after having played for QPR 48 hours earlier in the reserves win against Reading.
Team: Ramsey, Duncan, Murphy, McDonald (Fitzgerald), Ifura (Wattley), Panayi, Daly, Bean, Agogo, Oli (Gradley), Walshe. Subs not used: Butler, Stamp.
