QPR may have to play their decisive last game of the season at Sheffield Wednesday without Martin Rowlands who injured his calf during training on Monday.
The 25-year old defender has not been able to train since picking up the problem and will have to undergo a fitness test on Friday.
Rowlands has been one of Ian Holloway's star men this season and has scored in two of the last three matches.
Rangers need to win at Hillsborough on Saturday to be certain of clinching automatic promotion to division one.
