Several clubs have been eyeing the ex-Republic of Ireland U-21 international and Rangers recently suggested they might listen to offers for him.
But Rowlands insisted: "I don't let that affect me in any way.
"I've spoken to the manager about it and I'm going to get on with what I'm doing. I just want to carry on playing as well as I possibly can.
"It's not my decision what happens. That's up to other people, not me.
"I'm at a big club that will hopefully be going up. I just want to concentrate on helping QPR do that. We're in a good position and everything's going well."
Meanwhile, Arab businessman Haleem Kherallah is in fresh talks with the Rangers board about investing in the club.
Kherallah, who has been eyeing a takeover for the past two years, wants to buy a batch of shares held by directors as well as the 16% shareholding of former chairman Chris Wright.
