QPR manager Neil Warnock looks set to relaunch his bid to sign Blackburn striker Jason Roberts after missing out on top target Jonathan Walters. Warnock's attempt to land Roberts on a permanent deal appeared to have stalled earlier this month but he could take the 32-year-old on loan after Walters opted to join Premier League Stoke. "The closer it gets to the transfer deadline, the more players will want to play rather than kicking their heels in the reserves," Warnock told the Ealing Gazette. "The players we want are expensive, but it could be a case of working something out that suits everybody before we commit ourselves to a big fee and massive wages."
