QPR boss Ian Holloway is giving a trial to Tottenham midfielder Dean Marney with a view to a possible loan move.
Marney featured for QPR reserves in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this week.
His Spurs team-mate Stephen Kelly enjoyed a successful loan spell at Loftus Road last season, culminating in a Second Division play-off final appearance.
Marney has made two substitute appearances for Tottenham this season but has yet to start a match at White Hart Lane, and spent time on loan at Swindon earlier this year.
Rangers are beset by injury problems and Holloway could move for Marney on loan to help plug the gaps.
