The action was taken after Noades who is (that should now read was) attempting to buy Loftus Road, wrote to the League complaining that with the club in administration they could not count on supporters' contributions.

Noades's letter dated January 9, complained about the method used to buy Danny Shittu, although a representation from QPR are meeting with the League next week in an attempt to have the embargo lifted — common sense will hopefully prevail.

David Davies said: "Both deals were sponsored — the transfer fee as well as ongoing salaries. These could have been done inside or outside of administration as they have a nil effect upon the cash flow and do not prejudice the creditors' position."

Noades hit back saying: "QPR are in administration and we don't even know if they are going to be in the League next season. So why should they be allowed to bring in players without paying off creditors? It is unethical. It was never allowed when I was on the League board."
