QPR boss Neil Warnock has played down talk of winning the Championship title and says he regrets missing out on signing Jon Walters from Ipswich.Warnock told BBC London 94.9: "I think we're miles away. I told the directors we're a sixth to 10th position team.
"We need two good strikers but we lost one of them to the Premier League [Walters having joined Stoke City]."
"We thought we had him last week. It's disappointing as Walters has been my number one target now for a long time."
He added: "We move on and we have to look to get somebody else.
"You look at Cardiff for example who've got [Craig] Bellamy, [Jay] Bothroyd and [Michael] Chopra. We're not at that level yet.
"We have to look to improve. In fairness the front three are all doing very well at the moment but we are very thin on the ground regarding the squad numbers and regarding the strikers."
